Frequently Asked Questions

What is AI Crypto Bot?

AI Crypto Bot is an automated cryptocurrency trading platform that connects to Bybit exchange via API. It offers 6 built-in strategies, multi-timeframe analysis, backtesting, and portfolio monitoring — all managed through a web dashboard.

How do I get started?

Three simple steps:

  • Create an account at aibotrade.com
  • Activate the free 7-day Demo to practice with virtual $10,000
  • When ready, add your Bybit API keys and choose a paid plan
Is the Demo really free?

Yes. The Demo gives you 7 days of full access with $10,000 in virtual funds. No credit card or crypto payment required. It uses paper trading — real market data, simulated orders.

Which exchange do you support?

Currently we support Bybit — both spot and USDT-M futures. Support for additional exchanges is planned for future updates.

What trading strategies are available?

Six strategies are included with all plans:

  • Trend Following — rides sustained price trends using EMA crossovers
  • DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) — buys dips at preset intervals
  • Mean Reversion — trades bounces from Bollinger Band extremes
  • Momentum — follows strong RSI/MACD momentum signals
  • Breakout — enters on price breakouts from consolidation zones
  • Grid — places a grid of orders within a price range
What pairs can I trade?

9 pairs are available: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, BNB, ADA, DOGE, AVAX, LINK — all against USDT. Both spot and futures. The number of pairs available depends on your plan.

What is multi-timeframe (MTF) analysis?

Each strategy checks multiple timeframes (15m, 30m, 1h) before opening a trade. A signal is only confirmed when the majority of timeframes agree — this significantly reduces false signals.

Is my exchange account safe?

Yes. Your API keys are encrypted with AES at rest. We strongly recommend:

  • Disable withdrawal permissions on your API key
  • Restrict the key to our server IP only
  • Enable 2FA on your aibotrade.com account

We never have access to withdraw your funds.

What is the Kill Switch?

The Kill Switch is an emergency stop that instantly halts all trading across your account. You can trigger it manually from Settings, or the admin can activate it globally. When triggered, all open orders are cancelled and strategies are paused.

What is the Circuit Breaker?

The Circuit Breaker monitors each strategy individually. If a strategy hits its maximum drawdown limit, the breaker automatically pauses that strategy and notifies you via Telegram. This prevents cascading losses.

Can I lose more than I deposit?

On spot trading — no. On futures, losses are limited to your margin. Our system enforces max drawdown limits (15-30% depending on plan) and will auto-stop strategies that exceed them. However, cryptocurrency trading always carries risk — never invest more than you can afford to lose.

What plans are available?
  • Demo — Free, 7 days, paper trading with virtual $10,000
  • Pro ($19/mo) — 6 strategies, 6 pairs, up to $5,000, backtesting
  • Premium ($39/mo) — 9 strategies, all 9 pairs, up to $10,000, backtesting
How do I pay?

We accept cryptocurrency payments via NOWPayments. You can pay with BTC, ETH, USDT, and many other cryptocurrencies. Payments are processed automatically — your plan activates as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Can I get a refund?

Due to the nature of cryptocurrency payments, all sales are final. We encourage you to use the free Demo first to evaluate the platform before purchasing. See our Terms of Service for details.

What happens when my subscription expires?

You'll receive an email notification 2-4 days before expiry. When it expires, your account downgrades to Demo (inactive). All active strategies are stopped. Your data and settings are preserved — renew anytime to resume.

Do I need to keep my computer on?

No. The bot runs 24/7 on our servers. Once you set up a strategy, it trades automatically. You can check your portfolio from any device at any time.

How do I get trade notifications?

Connect your Telegram account in Settings. You'll receive instant notifications for every trade, strategy pause, circuit breaker trigger, and subscription events.

What is backtesting?

Backtesting lets you test a strategy on historical data before risking real money. Our engine supports all 6 strategies with long and short positions, walk-forward analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation. Available on Pro and Premium plans.
